The Practitioner’s

Workshop Design Lab

Opens July 2026

From technical expert to expert guide.
Develop a signature training or workshop that makes an impact.

Light a path to guide the work of this moment.

After more than a decade immersed in the work, you have real expertise.

People don’t just turn to you for information, but for how you think and work — your valuable perspective and special approach that moves things forward.

You lend your knowledge and answer questions when you can, but it doesn’t quite convey the full message or the meaning in a way that people really “get it.”

At some point, the question became clear: “How do I share this in a way that really lands with impact?”

Not a presentation — an actual process that facilitates change.

Not just telling. Guiding.

The Workshop Design Lab is a 4 week program for expert practitioners that helps you translate your unique expertise into an engaging, impactful 1-3 day training or workshop that you can effectively lead.

Design with Purpose and for Impact.

Most standard workshop development tools and courses focus on content and format: How to organize information, how to make good slides, how to be a good presenter.

But in your work for the wellbeing of people and the planet,
the goal is not just to be polished and impressive. It’s to be impactful.

That requires a different focus, and a different kind of work.

The Workshop Design Lab is specially structured to help you use your expertise to facilitate change. The process supports you to translate years of experience, nuanced judgment, and even instinctive ways of working into something that others can understand, practice, and ultimately be changed by.

The Step-by-Step
Workshop Design Process

1. Distilling Your Approach

The first step is the work within, for you. What is the “key” that you need to share. There are no new ideas to generate here. After years of learning and experience, The essential knowledge already exists intuitively within you and have been tested through your experience. It’s not that you don’t have anything to share. It’s that you have more than enough. The first step is to bring the most valuable knowledge and insight that you carry into clear view, and to discover what the essential message is that you have that needs to be shared. What is essential, and what is not? what is the core essence of the message, approach, or process that creates a shift and unlocks new insights, possibilities, or practices that would create real impact. A clear articulation of your approach—what it is, how it works, and why it matters.

2 Shaping the Process

The next step is to shift to the needs of those who the training is for and design a process that meets their need. We translate your way of thinking and working into something others can actually work with—not just hear about. Who are they when they arrive at your training or workshop, What growth or shift do you need to help them make, and what is the step-by-step process that would guide them to move toward that desired outcome? Not just the information, but the learning, reflection, questions, dialogue, activity or practice, reflection, decisionmaking, planning, and action. And what are the challenges and obstacles that will come up that you need to help them individually and collectively navigate through to reach the desired change? This is where your expertise becomes teachable without being reduced. You’re designing a uniquely specific and relevant process and experience for real people. You mark the path, step-by-step, that will help participants see the resonance and relevance, and understand the essential gift that you have to impart, and come to their own clarity about how they will carry it forth and apply it.

3. Designing the Experience

With the content in hand, you are lastly guided to design an experience that supports the learning and change process. It’s not just about clarifying and organizing information. This is not just organizing content. How do you shift out of information-sharing mode, and create interactive elements that put people into the active drivers seat of their own process to drive learning and mindset and behavior change. How do you design a deeply engaging experience that holds attention and effectively takes people to the depth they need to go to really do the work. You build a carefully crafted experiential container and path that guides participants from where they are to a new level of understanding and capability. You’re not describing your expertise, but leading others through it. And, you design it to be transformative, such that you also get clear about what changes for them as they move through this process with you.

What Practitioners Say

The process helped us shift our whole approach to the trainings. Our team knew we wanted our sessions to really engage the participants, but we didn’t know what else to do. We only knew how to present. You gave us a framework and the confidence to not just stand in front and talk, but to move people through a process that was transformative. We had participants share that it wasn’t like other workshops they attend. We helped them think creatively and get out of their comfort zones. Even the senior leaders were engaged in the activities we led and junior staff got to contribute in a way that helped them really see the value of their work.
